Your video card is most likely salvageable .. Over time the soldier breaks down and loses connections. Pop the video card out and put it in the oven -- sounds crazy but it works more than not , getting the soldier to re-flow. Don't take my word for it though, google "oven baking video card" for instructions on temperature, prep, etc .. Might save ya some money :)
