Isn't it funny to hear an atheist say "Thank God"? @ about 4:00 on the youtube video link...

Yes, you know, that ALWAYS crosses my mind. Letterman does it ALL the time.

You're kinda wrong about the lyrics to the Beatles "revolution"

"When you talk about destruction, don't you know that you can count me out ..., In! " .. Lennon was a liberal (like me( and knew that he might want to participate in the ass kicking of conservatives if it came to it(like me), so he threw the "In" part after the "count me out" ....

LMFAO! Dummy, Lennon was nothing like you. I wasn't saying that his lyrics were exactly as I was using them, I was saying that they FIT our movement. And they do.

You're so blinded by your emotionalism and your activist socialism you really do want to engage in 'ass kicking of conservatives', but Lennon would have nothing of it. You are not anything at all like John Lennon - and he is not anything at all like you.

The fact is that as different as our philosophies are, I have much more in common with John Lennon - as little as that is - than you ever will. Lennon was a PEACENIK. He was all about peace and non-violence. He would HATE the kinds of drivel you write and believe. He would stand AGAINST you, not with you.

The rest of your illogical and pointless paragraph after 'so' makes no sense. Good job Adam. Wrong again, as usual, throughout.

Peace,
Jz

Oh and the line about Mao? Lennon was entirely anti communism. Dig that.

Actually you are VERY wrong about Lennon.

Go look for interviews he did when asked about why he put the "count me IN" after the count me out -- He said if the time came, he actually might go the opposite way - violence as opposed to pacifism, depending on the situation.

Unknown said...

I agree with Lennon in that interview by the way....

Funny how the ONLY people repeating that Obama = Messiah meme are conservatives. Do a google search, it's always conservatives saying that.

People on the left respect Obama but we sure as hell don't worship him.

I'm trying to find the audio interview where Lennon was questioned about why he put the "count me in" in the revolution lyrics re "when it comes to destruction"

You'll see how very wrong you are if I can find this.

During overdubs which brought the recording to take 20, Lennon took the unusual step of performing his lead vocal while lying on the floor. He also altered one line into the ambiguous "you can count me out, in".[10] He later explained that he included both because he was undecided in his sentiments.[11] The appended "in" did not appear on the lyric sheet included with the original album.[12]

and

"Revolution" was performed in a higher key, B major, compared to the A major of "Revolution 1", although the distortion changes the key slightly. The "shoo-bee-do-wah" backing vocals were omitted in the re-make, and an instrumental break was added. "Revolution" was given a climactic end, as opposed to the fade out of "Revolution 1".[31] For this version, Lennon unequivocally sang "count me out".

This second version is the one far more familiar, and clearly combined with the interview comments I posted above, Lennon was no leftist swine - thus he isn't like you at all. He also was a very reasonable man - more unlike you.

Half the stuff I say about conservatives on here is
just an attempt to get a rise out of you. Just for shits and giggles man. I don't even mean half of what I say when I get a lil extreme.

As for Lennon, If you think he didn't screw with people or ever act controversial to get a rise out of people, you are clearly deficient in your understanding of the man.

My acting "tough guy - wanna go rambo on conservatives* is just a knee jerk response to all the conservative bloggers who are hyping on how they're ready for armed revolution/etc ... If you really knew me as a person, you'd know that I really do wish society wasn't breaking down like this. I guess I'm acting no better than the conservative blow hards -- but it is what it is.

But for you to presume to know me or what I'm about is taking it way too far. You are off by a longshot.

Jz said...

'get a rise...' I know, you always like to back down a bit from your aggressive, angry tone.

Nothing worth defending I suppose. I trend toward truth and there's nothing honest about blind rage.

So Adam, you want to do some "ass kicking"... As I see it, it shows me that your probably a wimpy little punk type with a big mouth.
Well prove me wrong and DO something to show us that your more than just a bunch of stinking pile of talking points drivel...
Besides, all your doing here is showing how unintelligent you are. If you really seek the truth, then try looking at things objectively...

If you two discuss an issue, great. If not, I'm not posting anymore tit for tat back and forth ad hom stuff. Thanks.
